Marielle is not only a unique young lady but diverse in culture. Being born in Texas, USA to a Nigerian father and Barbadian Mother, she has been exposed to a traditional family upbringing. She competed in Barbados's Junior Calypso Monarch as a child winning the tittle twice.

After graduating from Barbados Community College with an Associates Degree in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. She pursued her BSc in Bio-Chemistry with the intention of becoming a Genetic Scientist. Marielle is an avid singer, Song Writer and Guitarist. Her love for music has taken her to London to perform. In 2005 she won the prestigious title of Miss Barbados World and became the first dread-locked beauty queen to compete in Miss World. Her beauty has been featured in Circuit and Essence Magazines. With her ability to speak Spanish and French she intends to use her natural and inner beauty to help and motivate others. She is very excited to meet the people of St. Vincent and the Grenadines.
