

Out classing eight other beauties and grabbing two of the four judged categories, 2009 representative from The Spice Isle Grenada Asheida Charles went on to be crowned this yearŐs edition of Miss Carival.
The marketing student became to first contestant from that country to win the title since Kelly-Ann Ross bore the crown in 1995.
Charles gained the judges nod in the Best Interview and Best Talent categories, to come out ahead of the Antigua/ Barbuda delegate Derri- Ann Browne the First Runner Up, and Second Runner Up Samantha Boone; Miss St. Kitts/ Nevis.
Browne secured the Best Evening Gown title, while Miss St. Lucia delegate Cathy Daniel won the Best Swim Wear category.
Daniel was also named Miss Photogenic and Miss Congeniality and Browne was adjudged Miss Community Spirited.
Hometown favourite (Miss SVG) Veronique Williams, who put in a credible performance, failed to place.
The other contestants were Miss Deyanira Morales (Miss Venezuela), Aisha Delany (Miss Bahamas), Kayan Toussaint (Miss Dominica) Selia Subervi Sierra (Miss Dominican Republic).
