9 overseas countries will be registered to participate in the regionŐs premier pageant MISS CARIVAL 2009 which will be held at the Victoria Park on Friday July 3rd 2009 at 8.00 p.m.
6 countries have so far provided the names of contestants:

Contestants and their chaperones will arrive in the State on the airline of the Pageant LIAT (1974) Ltd. on Tuesday June 30th 2009 and leave on Saturday July 4th 2009.
SVG will be represented by Miss Veronique Williams, MISS SVG 2009.
Young Island Resorts Ltd. will provide accommodation for contestants and their chaperones at concessionary rates as they have done for several years.
A programme of activities is being finalized for contestants while they are in the State. This will include a briefing and sashing ceremony, meet the media, visit to the Hon. Prime Minister and members of his Cabinet, a motorcade around Kingstown, visit to business houses in Kingstown, live radio interviews, open interview session, attend CDC shows and dress rehearsal.
The MISS CARIVAL pageant was first staged in SVG in 1985 and so far 6 Vincentians have won the coveted title.
Miss Ronique Dellimore of SVG is the reigning MISS CARIVAL 2008.
The winner of MISS CARIVAL 2009 will receive USD $4,300.00 from the CDC, the 1st Runner-up USD $1,300.00, and the 2nd Runner-up USD $700.00 along with gifts from local business houses.
