CDC receive donations ..26/06/2008

A number of this country’s corporate citizens were on hand at the office of the Carnival Development Corporation in Victoria Park, to make their financial contributions to Vincy Mas.

The organizations, some private and others public, handed over checques to the Acting Chairman of the CDC Lennox Bowman, who graciously accepted the monies which he determined were well needed by the organizations.

Bowman indicated to those present at the press conference, that these contributions like all others were cherished and respected.

The sponsors when making their contributions reaffirmed their commitment to Carnival, the CDC and culture on a whole.

Those presenting checques on the day were Corea’s and Hazells Inc, represented by Teddy James, St.Vincent Electricity Services, whose checque was presented by Tamara Job to pan president Warren Knights and Bottlers St. Vincent’s Sales Manager Donald Jack also made a presentation.

Also handing over cheques were St. Vincent Building and Loan Association represented by Allyson Bennett, Cecil McKie of St. Hill Insurance Ltd, Joan Ryan of the central Water And Sewerage Authority and Patrice Lewis of Edwin D Laynes and Sons.

Making contributions earlier in the season, were the major sponsors, including National Lotteries Authority, B Mobile, Hairoun, LIAT and The Republic of China on Taiwan.
