New Scoa King in East St.George

The East St. George Soca competition has a new king.
Kurtney 'Fresh Kydd' Patterson took the crown on Friday June 8th at Club Swallows (formerly Club Macomay) in Villa.
Fresh Kid singing 'We nah leave' amassed the most points to beat six other crown hopefuls in the competition which this year saw the highest level of participation ever.
Coming in second was Shanel Nanton with her 'Telephone' song while in third place was the hyperactive performer and crowd favorite Keneil 'Dose up' Alexander and 'His strong rum take me over'.

The other performers were Nicholas 'Vision' Hector with 'Wuk it gal', Hezekiah 'Tonic Man' Naptali with 'Whine pon the bumper', Colville 'Shady' Layne with 'Show me yo motion' and Gemel 'G-Wise' Wiseman with 'Space'.

Last year's winner Oscar King did not defend his title.
