In 2010 SVG Players is celebrating its 10th. Anniversary as the premiere Mas band in St. Vincent and the Grenadines. Over the past nine years, SVG Players Int’l has placed outside of the top three positions on only one occasion. We were second on three occasions and the prestigiously title “Band of the Year” we have won four years consecutively. The Band and its members are quite confident that we will win again this year and set a precedence by winning the coveted title for a record breaking fifth consecutive time.

This year we have ventured outside the proverbial box and will present a phenomenal flight of fantasy that is guaranteed to take your breadth away. This presentation will set new standards for Mardi Gras and promises to be on the cutting edge of Carnival production in terms of its presentation and dramatic content through this year’s presentation of:

MYTHS OF EDEN

This is a creative exploration of man’s eternal search for a higher meaning to life as we know it on Planet earth. Ever since Adam and Eve were evicted from the Garden of Eden, man has been on a quest to find universal peace, unconditional love, true happiness and everlasting life. Over time, mankind has searched for Cities of Gold, Fountains of Youth and a Utopian society right here on earth.

Every race and civilization have created myths associated with the after life, promising an existence in the hereafter providing that the person live by a code of ethics.

SVG Players Int’l has created a colorful imaginative and thought provoking fantasy that takes a fleeting look at the myths that have evolved over centuries of civilization’s rise and fall. There are no negative themes in this presentation as we truly believe that “after all good will prevail”.
