I am 20-year-old Natika Emmons, born on the 20th December 1986. I live in the most beautiful point on the island, Cane Garden. I am the older child of Michael Emmons and Cheryl Collis. People may say that I am a reserved person, but I think that I am soft-spoken and someone who loves to smile. I am dedicated and hardworking and I never give up on my dreams.
In 1991, at the age of 5, I Was enrolled in the Richmond Hill Government School. In 1999 I Was successful in the Common Entrance Examinations and went on to St Joseph's Convent Marriaqua where I Was on the Students' Honour Roll for the first 4 years In Form 2 I was awarded a certificate of achievement for being one of the most outstanding students in Art. My artwork Was also displayed at the Old Public Library this is one of the most memorable and cherished experiences of my secondary education.
While in secondary school I also served as a Prefect and was required to set an example for the students that I monitored. My extra curricular activities included the Young Leaders group, which afforded me the opportunity to help others in a meaningful way.
I sat CXC in 2004 and gained passes in 8 subjects and upon graduation was awarded a certificate of special achievement for being the most outstanding student in Principles of Business.
At the St. Vincent Community College I studied Law and Management of Business. In 2006 I took my Advanced Level Exams gaining passes in both subjects and General Paper.
After graduating my first job was as a receptionist at Paradise Inn. I am presently employed as an Accounts Clerk at Star Garage .
In my spare time I enjoy dancing, singing and Cooking Growing up I loved to watch investigative dramas such as Perry Mason, Murder She Wrote and Matlock which fuelled my interest in the law. I decided fairly early on that I wanted to be a lawyer and that desire has never gone away. I truly believe in equality and justice for all. When I do accomplish my professional dreams I hope to be able to practice corporate law.
