  I am nineteen-year-old Tamisha Nichols, and I am currently a student at the St. Vincent and the Grenadines Community College. I am currently studying Psychology, Physical Education and Communication Studies. I am the first of five children. I have lived half of my life in Blackfish City Barroualie and the other on the beautiful isle of Bequia when my mother migrated to Bequia to start a new life.

I started singing in church at the age of five; the first song I ever learned was Jesus Loves Me. I have been singing ever since and I enjoy it so much that I would say it is my life! Growing up I loved listening to Michael Jackson and Whitney Houston, and my current favourite singer is Alicia Keys who is also my role model. She is unique, an exceptional musician and song writer who also produces her own music.

Last year I recoded and released my first soca single, Love Your Way, for Vincy Mas 2007. The experience was great, yet challenging; it was my first time in a recording studio and I did not realize how much work went into producing a song. Since then I have become a member of the band Bequia Sound Machine and hope that in the near future I will have a name for myself in the music industry.

Even though music is my dream I still believe it is important for me to make my music and my education work together. A broad based education together with life experience can only make me a better musician and song writer.

I have also always had a special interest in beauty pageants. At age thirteen, I entered my first pageant and can remember it was a lot of fun. Winning Miss Bequia 2007 has furthered my interest in pageants and given me the confidence to enter Miss SVG 2008.
