My name is Shanel
Green. I am a 21-year-old resident of Lower Questelles. I am my mother’s only
daughter and also the eldest of her four children. Being the eldest I naturally
became a second mother to my three brothers who are now 16, 13 and 4 years old.
I am very family orientated; a trait developed as a result of living in a
single parent family.

I was born on 28th November 1987, in the village of
Carrierre in Marriaqua but I now reside in Calder Ridge. While growing up I
kept mostly to myself, committing myself to my schoolwork and to helping to
raise my younger brothers and sisters. It was not always easy because, as is
usual, little fights and disagreements would occur. As a result of my childhood
I now only have a few close friends and I always have them in mind and in my
heart.

I was born on 15th August, 1985 to Ms. Susan Toney and Mr.
Michael David. Although I always knew my father, he was not continuously
present in my life as I grew up. This meant that my mother was really a single
parent and she had to work exceedingly hard to support and raise me and my two
brothers and one sister.

I was born in 1989 at the Kingstown General
Hospital; the first born of Kendall and Catherine Whiskey. I spent the first
four years of my life in Frenches and then my family and I moved to Calliaqua
where we have lived ever since. I was a typical little girl who had a tomboy
streak; I loved to play dollhouse but I also loved to play cricket in the
street. My favourite day as a child was Sunday because that was the assigned
“Beach Day” by my parents.
